Summary

Extension Manager does not collect, transmit, sell, or share personal information. The extension has no accounts, analytics, advertising, tracking code, or external data service.

Information used on your device

Chrome provides the extension with the names, descriptions, icons, identifiers, enabled states, settings-page links, homepage links, and installation types of installed extensions. Extension Manager uses this information inside its popup so you can find and manage those extensions. It does not send this information to the publisher or any third party.

Extension Manager saves the following information in Chrome’s local extension storage:

  • Active timer details, including the selected extension identifier and name, icon URL, timer duration, start time, and expiration time.
  • Your list or grid view preference.
  • Whether Chrome has already shown the one-time expanded-row hint.

How Chrome permissions are used

management
Displays installed extensions and lets you enable, disable, or remove them. It also lets a timer disable the extension you selected.
alarms
Schedules the automatic shutoff at the end of your selected duration.
storage
Keeps active timers and interface preferences in Chrome’s local extension storage.
notifications
Shows a local notice after a timer disables an extension.

Network activity and remote code

The extension does not transmit data to the publisher or an external service. It does not load or execute remote JavaScript or WebAssembly. If you choose an extension’s Homepage or Store Page action, Chrome opens that page in a new tab. The destination website then handles that visit under its own privacy policy.

Retention and deletion

Timer information is removed after the timer completes, you cancel it, or the selected extension is disabled or uninstalled. Chrome retains view preferences until you clear the extension’s local data or uninstall Extension Manager. Uninstalling Extension Manager removes its local storage according to Chrome’s behavior.

Data sales and unrelated use

Extension Manager does not sell user data, transfer user data to third parties, use data for an unrelated purpose, or use data to determine creditworthiness or for lending.

Policy changes

If the extension’s data practices change, this page will be updated before the related version is published. The effective date at the top will identify the latest revision.
